WHAT'S THE SESSION LIKE?
You will be joining as a webinar attendee, where you will listen to our two experts lecture and lead you and your partner through exercises to strengthen your relationship. You will not have audio and video capabilities turned on. You will be able to chat with our moderator if you have any questions. You will NOT be asked to disclose any personal information.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR EACH SESSION?
Commit to attending the full sessions and arriving on time. You will receive the materials as part of your registration fee. We recommend you write down answers to the questions posed to each couple, write down questions and notes to ask of our Gottman Leaders, and keep all of your course-related materials together.
WHAT MATERIALS DO I RECEIVE?
The Seven Principles Couples Set: All materials needed for the workshop are provided in the cost of registration. If registering prior to February 11, 2023, the couple will be shipped a physical copy of The Seven Principles Couples Set. If registering after February 11, 2023, the couple will receive a digital downloadable version of The Seven Principles Couples Set to print out or view on devices as desired. This set includes:
- Two (2) Couples Guides — takes couples step-by-step through the interactive exercise in each chapter of The Seven Principles, and it offers each partner their own private space to work through exercises and journal thoughtfully about each principle as it applies to their own relationship.
- One (1) copy of Dr. John Gottman's The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work - This New York Times bestselling book is an overview of the concepts, behaviors, and skills that guide couples on the path toward a harmonious and long-lasting relationship.
- Love Maps & Open-Ended Questions card decks — Strengthen intimacy through shared knowledge of your partner. These cards enable partners to connect emotionally, and increase intimacy and understanding in a fun, gentle way.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY REGISTRATION?
Registration cancellation and refunds can only be processed by request. You must submit a support ticket on our website, FirstCoastCounselingLLC.com, for assistance or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Any cancellation results in a $70 administrative fee that will be deducted from your refund. This administrative fee covers the cost of course materials, which cannot be returned, along with payment processing fees.
HOW DO I JOIN ON ZOOM?
After registering, our team will add you to our Zoom webinar, and Zoom will automatically email you a unique URL to join the webinar. The Zoom email is coming from email@example.com. Please double check your spam folder, your Promotions folder, and your Updates folder (particularly in gmail accounts!) for this email, as it may get auto-routed some place other than your Primary email address.
This URL is based off of your primary email address that you supplied us. On the day of the workshop, you will click the link that Zoom supplied you to join the webinar. You may see a message that says, “Waiting on Host to Begin.” If so, you attended a little bit early! Please wait until the time of the meeting and it will automatically open for you.
Make sure you’re logged into the Zoom app on or Zoom.us with whatever email you used to register for the workshop. If you are auto-logged in with a different email (like your work email) but registered for our course with your personal email, that can cause issues! If you attempt to click the URL to join and Zoom routes you to the registration page, then you are logged in to Zoom with the incorrect email. The Zoom URL we provide you is specific to your email address and will not work for any other email.
WHAT KIND OF ACCESSIBILITY OPTIONS ARE THERE?
Our support team is are committed to providing accessible workshops. Whether or not you have any kind of disability, we believe that offering these services is beneficial to all. Many of our workshop attendees have told us that having closed captioning is necessary or extremely helpful for their learning.
